- Dickinson Wright member Charlie Spies was removed from his job as chief counsel to the Republican National Committee after Trump officials learned his firm still had ties to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whom Spies had represented when he ran for president. Spies has also previously represented other GOP presidential contenders and Trump critics like Utah Sen. Mitt Romney and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. (New York Times)
- Kirkland & Ellis filed paperwork last week to begin $30 million worth of “tenant improvements” for its new space in the 48-floor downtown Austin, Texas office tower under construction called The Republic. Kirkland’s office will take up 90,000 square feet at The Republic, which has also reportedly signed O’Melveny & Myers as a tenant. (CoStar News)
- In the past year, Goodwin Procter has launched a series of new programs to “better understand” and provide services for its attorneys who have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, known as ADHD. “The beauty of it is that I am with other attorneys who can share their struggles, challenges and successes,” said DC-based senior associate Carrie Garber Siegrist. - Thomas Duncan has joined Faegre Drinker as a partner in the government and regulatory practice in Philadelphia.
