- Mintz will give its employees a paid day off on Nov. 5 to vote in the election. Managing member Bob Bodian said the firm is “strongly encouraging” everyone to vote and “engage in volunteer opportunities that help ensure a safe, accessible, and fair election.” (Above the Law)
- Tanja Olano, the chief legal officer for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, has resigned, citing the need to “take a break.” Her resignation comes after LA28 Chairman Casey Wasserman said he would stay on as the organization’s leader despite a scandal over extramarital affairs, though a colleague said that the two are unrelated. - Honda’s defense team‘s violations of orders in limine have led a Georgia state court judge to strike the motor company’s answers and affirmative defenses in a product liability dispute. The team, from Huie, Fernambucq & Stewart, was previously sanctioned in 2018 for violation of a pretrial order. (Law.com)
