  • Brian Nelson, a former Sidley Austin associate and current under secretary of the treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence, was tapped by Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign as a senior advisor. Nelson previously served under Harris as general counsel of the California Department of Justice during the VP’s term as the state’s attorney general. (Jewish Insider)
  • Hydee Feldstein Soto, an attorney for the city of Los Angeles, has been accused of reading her employees’ emails without their knowledge and ordering other supervisors to do the same. Since January, four employees have alleged in separate claims that they faced retaliation—either from their managers or Feldstein Soto herself—after they highlighted problems within the office.   • A sexual-abuse lawsuit against a Palm Beach, Florida, developer was tossed out days before it was scheduled to go to trial as the judge ruled that the plaintiff’s lawyer, Rod Coleman of Boca Raton, repeatedly lied to cover up his own misconduct. (Palm Beach Post)
