- More than 200 UK judges and magistrates have been disciplined in the last four years, including those who have been “sacked, reprimanded, and forced to resign” for “drink-driving” and being drunk while in court. In one case, an entire judicial tribunal panel was disciplined after they mocked a member of the public for his Welsh heritage and “perceived lack of intelligence.” (The Telegraph)
- WilmerHale has appointed Joel Green to be the firm’s new firm-wide deputy managing partner, and David Bowker and Lorraine Echavarria have been tapped to be partners-in-charge of the firm’s DC and LA offices, respectively. The news comes in the wake of the firm’s announcement last June that Anjan Sahni would be WilmerHale’s new firm-wide managing partner. (WilmerHale)
- Crypto lawyer John Deaton is trying to raise $1 million by March 31 for his US Senate race in Massachusetts to unseat Democratic incumbent Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
