Wake Up Call: Penn State to Combine Law Schools as Plan Approved

• Pennsylvania State University is reuniting its two law schools, Penn State Dickinson Law in Carlisle and Penn State Law at University Park. The combined school will be called Penn State Dickinson Law, according to a plan made official this week. (The Legal Intelligencer)
• Legal recruiter Major, Lindsey & Africa’s longtime headhunting group and DC office leader Jeffrey Lowe has left to launch a competing outfit. He will be joined by former Paul Hastings official Don Currin in the new venture, Jeffrey Lowe Partners. (The American Lawyer)
• Omni Bridgeway’s Asia-Pacific comanaging director Oliver Gayner is leaving the litigation funder to join Australian disputes boutique William Roberts Lawyers. His departure comes as Andrew Saker, Omni’s CEO and managing director, sets to move out of his leadership role. (The Global Legal Post)
