  • Sergey Alekhin has left his role as counsel at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in Paris to join the partnership at Russian law firm ELWI, Latham’s Russian spin-off, bringing two colleagues with him. (GAR)
  • Seladore Legal opened its first international office in Milan. The office will be led by Laurence Shore, who joined the firm from BonelliErede. (Legal Business)
  • Genevieve Mushaluk, an in-house lawyer at Priceline.com, is a contestant on the new season of “Survivor.” (US Weekly).

Laterals, Moves, In-House

  • The Phoenix office of Dorsey & Whitney added Dawn Meidinger as regulatory partner, C.W. Ross as mergers and acquisition partner, and Norm James as of counsel in its regulatory affairs group. All three attorneys join from Fennemore.
  • Scarlett Lopez Freeman joined Fisher Phillips as a partner in San Francisco.
  • Jason Graham joined Baker Botts as a partner in its tax department in Dallas. He joins the firm from Baker McKenzie.
  • Thomas DeSplinter joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as a partner in its corporate practice group in Chicago. He was previously a partner at McGuireWoods.
  • Hunton Andrews Kurth hired Ayesha Waheed and Seyfi Can Kandemir as partners on its energy and infrastructure team in London. They join from Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
  • Ligeia Donis joined Baker McKenzie as a partner in its tax practice in Washington.
  • Mark Seidman joined Weil Gotshal & Manges as a partner in its antitrust practice in Washington.
  • Nolan Kurtz joined Faegre Drinker as CEO.
