Supreme Court Asks Solicitor General to Weigh in on Climate Case

The US Supreme Court wants federal opinion on a bill of complaint from Alabama and other Republican-led states looking to halt other state governments from pursuing climate damages lawsuits against oil majors.

Justices invited the solicitor general on Monday “to file a brief in this case expressing the views of the United States,” which has become a theme in other SCOTUS bids regarding climate misinformation actions.
