  • Wachtell partner and PGA Tour Board chair Ed Herlihy “fully supported” PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan after Monahan suffered mental health challenges over his group’s deal with Saudi-backed LIV Golf. Monahan, who took a leave from his PGA position after the deal was announced, said lost sleep and constant ruminating about the agreement “took its toll on me.” (New York Times)
  • Sandy Hook school shooting victims’ family lawyers with Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder are involved in the suit being weighed in response to the Lewiston, Maine mass shooting on Oct. 25 that resulted in 18 deaths and 13 others wounded. Koskoff is being joined by National Trial Law and Maine-based firms Berman & Simmons and Gideon Asen. (WMTW News 8 Portland)
  • Former British solicitor William Osmond was given an 18-month suspended sentenced for tipping off a client about an ongoing money laundering investigation. Osmond, who plead not guilty at his trial in the Old Bailey, the famed London criminal court, was forced to resign as solicitor but is still managing partner at law firm Osmond & Osmond. (Accountancy Daily)

  • Mitchell Nussbaum and Arash Khalili have been appointed co-chairs of Loeb & Loeb, starting Feb. 5, 2024.
  • Michael Park has joined Dentons LLP as a partner with the intellectual property and technology practice in Melbourne, Australia.
  • Vivek K. Chavan has returned to Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder with the real estate practice in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. He also practiced at DLA Piper.
  • Chris Grey will join Ashurst LLP as a partner in the corporate practice in London in 2024.
  • John Patten has joined Paul Weiss as a partner in the corporate department in London.
  • Paul Navarro has rejoined Perkins Coie as an emerging companies and venture capital partner in Los Angeles. He joins from Morrison Foerster.
  • Luke Toft has joined Fox Rothschild as a partner in the intellectual property department in the Minneapolis, Minn., office.
