  • Interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin sent a letter to the dean of Georgetown Law School demanding it eliminate all diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives or risk having its students excluded from hiring consideration at his office. Georgetown defended its curriculum, saying its practices are protected by the First Amendment. (The Washington Post)
  • Former Kentucky attorney Brian Allen Logan was sentenced to three years in federal prison for stealing $400,000 from a deceased client’s estate. As executor, Logan paid himself for unperformed legal work, rented out and fraudulently transferred property, and used the stolen money for personal expenses. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
  • Wilmington University School of Law became the latest school to earn provisional accreditation from the American Bar Association. The school welcomed its inaugural class in fall 2023. (Delaware Business Now)
