- O’Melveny & Myers has launched a national security enforcement task force to help clients navigate the risks posed by the “increasingly aggressive” national security enforcement priorities of Congress, the Justice Department and other agencies. The task force is a “direct response” to DOJ’s infusion of resources into its National Security Division corporate enforcement program. (O’Melveny)
- Littler Mendelson board chair Micheal Wilder has been reelected to another term, the firm announced. The firm also elected five new members to its 2024 board of directors, including William Anthony of New York, Philadelphia-based Kristine Grady Derewicz, Danielle Herring of Houston, Charlotte Main from Atlanta, and Stephan Swinkels from the firm’s Amsterdam office. - The Superior Court of LA County is partnering with Stanford Law School’s Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession and Legal Design Lab to design and implement “evidence-based approaches” to improve access to justice for court users. A main focus will be on case types with high percentages of pro se litigants, including eviction and child support matters. (Stanford Law School)

- Kay Gordon has joined the Foley & Lardner as a partner in the New York office in its fund formation and investment management practice group. She served as a partner and co-head of the the investment management group at Nelson Mullins LLP.
- Dana Herberholz and Jordan Stott have joined Dorsey & Whitney as partners in the intellectual property group in Boise, Idaho. The duo joins from Parsons Behle & Latimer.
- Mary Kate Hogan has joined Quarles & Brady as a partner in the business law practice group in the St. Louis, Mo., office.
- Lily Wound has joined DLA Piper as a partner in its corporate practice in the New York office.
- Seyfarth Shaw is launching a restructuring and insolvency practice and adding to the servicing and special servicing practice with three partners, Jason DeJonker, Scott Olson, and Richard White. They all join from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.
- Timothy Carroll has joined Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe as part of the IP litigation practice in Chicago. He practiced as a partner at Venable LLP.
- Peter J. Armenio has joined Cahill Gordon & Reindel as a partner in the litigation group in New York.
- Adam Arikat has joined the Simpson Thacher as a partner in the tax practice in the Houston office. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
- Christopher Haws has been made a member of the trusts and estates planning practice group at Sherman & Howard.
