Virginia Nurse Wins Revival of Covid-19 Shot Religious Bias Suit

Northern Virginia’s Inova Health Care Services must face a Christian nurse’s claim that she was illegally denied a religious accommodation from its Covid-19 vaccination mandate, the Fourth Circuit ruled Tuesday.

The ruling is the latest to reverse a federal district court’s finding that alleged objections to being vaccinated weren’t “religious” enough.

The First, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth circuits recently revived lawsuits by religious healthcare workers who were fired or subjected to other adverse actions after being denied vaccine exemptions.
