Macy’s Agrees to $10.5 Million Deal in Sheet Thread Count Suit

Macy’s Inc. consumers want preliminary approval for a $10.5 million nationwide class settlement resolving allegations that the retailer overstated the thread count of certain sheets.

If approved by the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the deal would end nearly five years of litigation.

Sara Hawes alleged she bought Somerset brand Chief Value Cotton sheets that were labeled with a thread count much higher than the actual count.
