A Congressional committee dropped its request for documents from Northwestern University’s law school the day after two prominent law professors filed suit against the committee, saying they were being targeted for their advocacy work.
In a letter dated Thursday and filed in federal court, the chair of the House Committee on Education and Workforce and the chair of the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development stated they are no longer seeking the documents, “given the Committee’s ongoing negotiations” with the school.
