A now disbarred criminal defense attorney and former Manhattan federal court clerk were sentenced to prison for a bribery scheme in which the clerk steered defendants to the lawyer for cash.

Mae A. D’Agostino , assigned for this case to the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, on Monday sentenced the New York-based former attorney, Telesforo Del Valle, Jr., to one year and one day and fined him $10,000, US Attorney Damian Williams said in a news release - D’Agostino sentenced the clerk, Dionisio Figueroa, to two years and ordered Figueroa to forfeit $40,000,
