Perplexity AI Inc. and Comet ML Inc. settled a trademark lawsuit over Perplexity’s use of “Comet” for its AI-powered browser.
The parties filed a stipulation of dismissal, with prejudice, Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The provision resolves Comet ML’s trademark infringement claims against Perplexity, as well as Perplexity’s counterclaims seeking to cancel Comet ML’s trademark registrations due to fraud.
