Infineon Seeks to Block US Imports of Innoscience Next-Gen Chips

German chip maker Infineon Technologies AG filed a patent-infringement complaint asking the US International Trade Commission to ban imports of Innoscience (Suzhou) Technology Co.’s gallium-nitride-based semiconductor devices, the second such trade action targeting the Chinese company.

The July 26 complaint landed three days after Infineon added three patents to its infringement allegations over US Patent No. 9,899,481 in a California federal lawsuit against Innoscience originally filed March 13.
