Hershey’s ‘Vampire’ Kisses Accused of Infringing Trademarks

Hershey Co.'s Halloween-themed Vampire Kisses allegedly infringe trademarks owned by Vampire Family Brands LLC, which told a Los Angeles federal court that it sells Belgian chocolate under the “Vampire” name.

Vampire has previously sued Taco Bell, Applebee’s, and others for allegedly infringing its marks. It settled its dispute with Taco Bell over the chain’s Vampire Sauce and Vampire Fries earlier this year.

Vampire Family Brands began using “Vampire” to sell wine in 1988, and has since expanded to use the mark on products like chocolate, coffee, and olive oil, according to the Monday complaint filed in the U.S. ...
