Casio Accuses Patent Owner of Serving Wrong Company in Dispute

Casio Computer Co. told a Texas federal judge that wearable tech developer CaridacSense Ltd. served its patent infringement allegations to the wrong company and not the defendant.

CardiacSense’s representative delivered its complaint and summons to Casio America Inc.’s human resources department, according to a motion to dismiss filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Tokyo-based Casio said CardiacSense didn’t name the American unit as a defendant.
