Casio Accused of Infringing Patent With G-Shock Sport Watch Line

Wearable tech developer CardiacSense Ltd. hit Casio Computer Co. with patent infringement allegations over its G-Shock sport watch product line.

Casio’s watch products utilize similar methods for monitoring a user’s activity as US Patent No. 7,980,998, according to CardiacSense’s complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. CardiacSense said Casio has refused to stop selling its watch products or engage in conversations to resolve the disagreement.
