The US Supreme Court denied Monday a shipping and transportation company’s challenge to a decision requiring it to reopen a Kentucky terminal that it shuttered in violation of federal labor law.
The justices let stand a federal appeals court ruling that enforced the National Labor Relations Board’s 2023 holding that Quickway Transportation Inc. illegally closed a terminal in Louisville, Ky., after its drivers there formed a union.
Quickway argued in its petition that the NLRB and the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit reached conclusions that conflict with Supreme Court precedent related to partial closings.
