Fired Learjet Engineer’s Evidence Spurs Age Discrimination Trial

Learjet Inc. and parent Bombardier Inc. must face trial on whether age discrimination caused a principal engineer specialist to be terminated at the age of 59, a Kansas federal judge ruled.

The lawsuit was once certified as a collective action alleging a pattern-or-practice of bias by the companies under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act before later being decertified.
