Delta Bid for Consent Decree Fails After Paystub Deal Approval

Delta Air Lines Inc. failed to add a consent decree on the legality of its revised wage statements to a $15.9 million settlement with flight attendants who challenged the accuracy of its paystubs.

The airline’s request isn’t a “true consent decree” but actually “an uncontested attempt to secure forward-going peace for Delta,” the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Monday, nixing the proposal. Judge William H. Orrick separately approved the settlement itself last week.
