Alorica to Pay $3.5M to Resolve Sexual Harassment Claims (1)

International business solutions provider Alorica Inc. will pay $3.5 million to settle a U.S. government lawsuit accusing it of subjecting male and female customer service representatives in California to a sexually hostile work environment.

The July 31 pact continues the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s crackdown on sexual and other workplace harassment. The federal watchdog’s action on this front includes at least 15 new sexual harassment lawsuits since the advent of the #MeToo movement.
