- Taylor Swift hired Venable partner Douglas Baldridge for the top legal role at 13 Management, the music star’s “closely guarded Nashville-based company.” Baldridge, a DC litigator who represented Swift in a high profile sexual harassment suit, is set to replace retiring general counsel Jay Schaudies in September. - More than 20 Stroock & Stroock & Lavan litigators and staff reportedly are leaving for Steptoe & Johnson. The group is joining two prominent Stroock lawyers who already jumped to Steptoe: Michele Jacobson, chair of the firm’s general litigation practice, and Julia Strickland, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. - Gibson Dunn poached a nine-lawyer team from Linklaters to launch an energy and infrastructure practice in Paris. Partner Darko Adamovic leads the group, which includes a pair of counsel and six associates. (The Global Legal Post)

- Jean Gonnell has joined Troutman Pepper as part of the regulatory investigations, strategy, and enforcement practice group in Charlotte, N.C.
- David Adams has joined Mintz PC in the firm’s corporate practice as a member in the Washington, D.C., office.
- Texas state senator Nathan Johnson, Tom Reddin, and Andrew McKeon have joined Thompson Coburn in Dallas, Texas.
- Daniel J. Harris has joined Cole Schotz P.C. as a member in Hackensack, N.J.
