- Sidley Austin reportedly is threatening to withhold bonus money for lawyers who don’t hit time sheet filing deadlines. Lawyers who don’t enter time within five days or less risk losing up to 50% of their bonuses. (Above The Law)
- A federal judge in North Carolina has ordered parties in cases before the court to stop using PacerPro and other third-party docket management tools for filings. (Dewey B Strategic)
- UK litigation funder Harbour has agreed to loan £33 million ($42 million) to Slater and Gordon, an Australian personal injury firm. (The Law Society Gazette)

- Amy Baker Mandragouras has joined Foley Hoag as a partner in Boston. She previously practiced at Cooley LLP.
- Schwanda Rountree has joined Sanford Heisler Sharp as a partner in Washington, D.C. She formerly served as acting deputy general counsel for the labor and litigation division of the Defense Department’s defense education activity department.
- Barbara Bennett has joined Frost Brown Todd as a partner with the health care innovation team in Nashville, Tenn.
- Jonathan Homer and Bruce Steinert have joined Troutman Pepper as partners in the corporate practice group in New York and San Francisco, respectively. Homer joins from Gibson Dunn, and Steinert joins from Perkins Coie.
- Scott Cockerham has joined Allen & Overy as a partner in its US projects, energy, natural resources and infrastructure practice. He formerly practiced at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.
- Christopher Rogers will join Buchalter as a shareholder in Scottsdale, Ariz., and as a member of the corporate practice group.
- UScellular has appointed Adriana Rios Welton to general counsel.
