- Josh Kraft, a Democratic Boston mayoral candidate, received campaign donations from top attorneys at Paul Weiss, including chairman Brad Karp, after his father Robert Kraft assisted in the firm’s deal with President Donald Trump. Karp and three other lawyers at the firm contributed $1,000, the maximum legal limit, to Kraft’s campaign. (The Boston Globe)
- Several top UK lawyers, including Amal Clooney, were reportedly warned by the country’s Foreign Office that they may face US sanctions—and denied entry to the US—under a Trump administration order targeting those who assist the International Criminal Court in its war crimes investigation of Israeli officials. The warning follows sanctions already imposed on ICC prosecutor Karim Khan. (People)
- The associate attrition rate at law firms in 2024 rose to 20%, up 2% from the previous year but still below the 2021 peak of 26%. Attrition was higher among female associates, at 22%, and associates of color, at 24%. Associates are also leaving earlier, with 74% departing within four years of hiring. (ABA Journal)

- Scott Levine joined Baker McKenzie as a tax partner in Washington. He joins from the Treasury Department.
- Brad Pensyl joined BakerHostetler as a partner in its litigation practice group in New York.
- Matthew Hodgson joined Linklaters as an arbitration partner and head of public international law in London. He joins from A&O Shearman.
