  • Marc Elias, one of the Democratic Party’s top election lawyers, is joining the Harris-Walz campaign to help counter what is expected to be a contentious post-election period. He joins the campaign’s already expansive legal team, which will oversee hundreds of lawyers defending against what Democrats expect to be an aggressive Republican effort to challenge votes, rules, and election results.   • Morris, Manning & Martin in Atlanta is relocating its headquarters for the first time in nearly 40 years to Two Alliance Center. The firm will be the largest tenant in the building, occupying four floors with rights to expand and will also have its name displayed on the tower. (Atlanta Business Chronicle)
  • Snell & Wilmer lawyers Amanda Reeve and Brett Johnson and Alabama attorney Paul Hamrick are identified by the AP as three people working to ensure independent presidential candidate Cornel West is on the Arizona ballot as part of a broader GOP strategy to use West as a Democratic spoiler to benefit Donald Trump.
