- Kenneth Chesebro, a lawyer for Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, had his New York law license indefinitely suspended by an appeals court for his part in a conspiracy to file false documents in Georgia. Chesebro pleaded guilty to the charges after prosecutors accused him of crafting the legal strategy behind a scheme to use alternate electors to circumvent Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in the state. - Female lawyers made up at least half of new partner promotions in 82 major law firms this year, despite an overall decline in female representation among new partner classes, according to the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance. This year, 41.6% of US-based new partners at the 196 major firms in the survey were women, compared with 43.7% last year. (ABA Journal)
- Morgan & Morgan signed name, image, likeness deals with seven college football players to promote the firm’s practice. The deal will allow all seven of the athletes to be featured on the firm’s new digital billboards, social media advertisements, and YouTube ads. (NIL Daily)
