  • Libby Locke of the defamation law boutique Clare Locke “repeatedly tried to pull her firm off” of the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit, which “shattered morale and confidence inside the small but formidable firm.” Locke’s alleged actions, which she and other name partner Tom Clare deny, caused most of the firm’s partners to decide to resign.   • A Las Vegas attorney accused of shooting his ex-daughter-in-law, and the woman’s lawyer husband, had previously been reprimanded for violating the State Bar of Nevada’s ethics rules. The alleged shooter, Joe Houston II, failed to provide a refund in a divorce case, until the state bar sent him a letter of investigation, according to state bar documents. (8 News Now)
  • Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has hired financial regulation partner Sebastian Barling from Linklaters in London. Barling, promoted to partner in 2018, spent a total of more than a dozen years at the UK-founded Magic Circle firm. (Financial News)
