- Dan Webb, co-executive chairman of Winston & Strawn, is helping centrist political group No Labels vet possible third-party presidential candidates. Webb has donated to both sides of the political aisle, including Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va) and Susan Collins (R-Maine). (Politico)
- John Joyce, managing partner of UK’s Addleshaw Goddard, will step down a year early, saying that after 10 years in the role “it is time to move on.” He’ll step down April 30, and the process is underway to choose his successor. (The Global Legal Post)
- Ripple Labs has run up legal bills of about $200 million, reflecting the high cost of litigation and crypto’s life-and-death struggle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. “You have to stand up to a bully,” Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said. (Fortune)

- Kendra Perkins Norwood has joined Reed Smith as a partner with the regulatory and investigations practice in Washington, D.C. She previously practiced at Wiley Rein and worked for more than 10 years at the National Aeronautics & Space Administration.
- William Connolly has joined Nixon Peabody as general counsel and chief legal officer in the Boston office.
- Evan Miller has joined Saul Ewing as a partner in the Wilmington, Del., office.
- Charles A. Zdebski has joined Cozen O’Connor as a member of the utility and energy practice group in Washington, D.C. He joins from Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott.
