Simpson Thacher & Bartlett announced Wednesday it has hired Katie Taylor, a former Kirkland & Ellis debt finance partner, as the Wall Street law firm’s new capital structure solutions practice keeps growing.
Taylor’s hire in San Francisco, where Simpson Thacher opened an office this year, follows the addition of former Kirkland partner Dave Nemecek in February. Nemecek is widely known as the leading lawyer on company-side liability management deals, which restructure debt out of court.
