Sameea Kamal is the correspondent for the daily Texas Brief newsletter, covering the legal industry in Texas. She has previously reported on politics and policy for CalMatters and the Texas Tribune, and contributed to politics coverage and digital strategy at the Los Angeles Times. She received an Emmy award last year for her coverage of California’s Legislature. She’s a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
