Booksellers Group Loses Appeal to Intervene in FTC’s Amazon Case

A federal appeals court rejected a booksellers group’s bid to intervene in the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust suit against Amazon.com Inc., ruling the group’s claims against the e-commerce giant are distinct from the FTC case.

The Wednesday ruling from a three-judge panel on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed a lower court’s decision denying the American Booksellers Association’s motion to participate in the case.
