Starbucks Appeals Order Blocking Union Busting at Michigan Store

Starbucks Corp. has appealed a federal court order that banned the company from firing or obstructing union organizers at a cafe in Michigan.

The coffee giant on Wednesday asked US District Judge Mark Goldsmith to put his order on pause while the company’s appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit is proceeding.

The requests come nearly a week after Goldsmith issued a scaled-back injunction targeting anti-union activity at a single Starbucks store in Ann Arbor, Mich.
