A federal judge in Michigan handed down a new injunction against Starbucks Corp. that stripped the nationwide scope from a similar order he issued last week in response to allegations of labor law violations.

In a reversal of fortune for the company, US District Judge Mark Goldsmith on Thursday released an order that targets conduct at a single Starbucks store in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Obama-appointed judge’s Feb. 17 order banned the company from firing workers for supporting a union or otherwise violating their organizing rights at any store in the US.
