Manchin to Oppose Dale Ho Nomination to New York Court Seat (2)

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) will oppose Dale Ho’s confirmation as a judge on the Southern District of New York, narrowing the voting rights attorney’s path to the federal bench.

Manchin will vote against Ho’s confirmation when it comes up for a vote currently scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, a Manchin spokesperson told Bloomberg Law. In a brief hallway interview, Manchin said he opposed Ho’s nomination because he’s “extreme left.”
