Zach Cohen is Bloomberg Government’s senior budget reporter, where he covers appropriations and other congressional spending issues. He has over a decade of experience covering fiscal policy and federal politics for Bloomberg Industry Group and National Journal.
He appears frequently on Bloomberg TV and Radio, SiriusXM, and C-SPAN to offer reporting and analysis from Capitol Hill, and his work has been published by The Washington Post and The Atlantic.
He also sits on the National Press Club’s Board of Governors and occasionally lectures on American politics and governance at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
His work has garnered multiple awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, including Dateline Awards for his coverage of the Senate.
Zach graduated with honors from American University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper The Eagle.
