HP, Nvidia Argue Laptop Glitch Claims Aren’t Linked to Marketing

A video game enthusiast still can’t show he relied on any allegedly deceptive statements by HP Inc. or Nvidia Corp., or that they omitted information about performance limitations, about a laptop that didn’t work as he expected, an attorney for the companies told a federal appeals court Tuesday.

A district court dismissed Mark Twardzik’s original lawsuit alleging HP and Nvidia, makers of the laptop and its graphics processing unit, had exaggerated the HP Envy 13’s capability to run video games in January 2022.
