The Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission released a list of ten individuals who have applied to replace outgoing Justice Charles Canady, who announced his resignation last month.
Six of the ten applicants are current appellate judges, all appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). Judges Robert Long and Adam Tanenbaum serve on the First District Court of Appeals in Tallahassee; Alex Bokor on the Third District in Miami; and Roger Gannam, Joshua Mize, and Jared Smith on the Sixth District in Lakeland.
