A former guidance counselor and Fort Lauderdale-based school system agreed to settle claims alleging the school district created a hostile work environment over the counselor’s nonbinary gender identity.
Kezia Gilyard and the School Board of Broward County filed a joint notice of settlement Aug. 29 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
