Children’s Hospital Prevails in Suit Over Sharing Info With Meta

A Minnesota children’s hospital defeated a suit from parents over Meta Platforms Inc. and Google LLC tracking software that receives their kids’ personal information when using the hospital’s website.

Judge Katherine Menendez of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota March 21 said the parents’ information wasn’t shared, and so they lacked standing to sue Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. The children themselves weren’t added as plaintiffs and so aren’t officially part of the case, the court said.
