Children’s Hospital Sued Over Info Sharing With Meta, Google

Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare disclosed the personal health information of patients to Meta Platforms Inc. and Google LLC without their knowledge or consent in violation of federal and state law, a proposed federal class action said.

Kayla Harris and Stephanie Braulick alleged that Gillette installed tracking code from Meta and Google on its website, allowing the social media companies to intercept and record communications between patients and the St. Paul, Minnesota-based children’s hospital.
