Biden New York Trial Court Pick Withdraws From Consideration (1)

Colleen Holland has asked the White House to withdraw her nomination to be a federal trial court judge in the Western District of New York.

Holland said in an emailed statement that it was a “personal decision made after careful consideration.”

Holland’s nomination to the court that includes Rochester and Buffalo had stalled in the Senate after she was first tapped by the White House in August of 2023.

She never received a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee or a rating from the ABA, which is customary for judicial nominees.
