Arkansas, Medicaid Recipients End Suit Over Loss of Benefits

Arkansas residents have ended a lawsuit over the state’s termination of their Medicaid at-home benefits following a settlement with the state’s health department.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas dismissed the case Monday. Judge Kristine G. Baker had preliminarily approved the parties’ settlement in mid-May, contingent on Arkansas lawmakers’ agreement to its terms, but she issued final approval in July after the parties assured the court that the lawmakers’ approval wasn’t needed.
