Arkansas Medicaid recipients will continue to receive at-home service benefits while appealing the state agency’s decision to cut them, pending state lawmakers’ approval of a settlement reached between recipients and the agency.
Ginger Elder, Benjamin Taylor, and Jacquelyn Dearmore received home- or community-based services under a Medicaid waiver program until the Arkansas Department of Human Services informed them that they no longer met eligibility requirements. The agency limited or ended the benefits while Elder, Taylor, and Dearmore were appealing the eligibility decision through administrative channels.
