A Texas law restricting social media companies’ content practices will hurt consumers and make it harder to create safe online environments, a group of tech industry organizations and advocates said Thursday in a court filing.
The amicus brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas supports a motion for a preliminary injunction to block the law from taking effect later this year.
