Snap Spends Nearly $100 Million on Two Lawyers, Two Law Firms

Snap Inc. awarded almost $40 million in total compensation to two top lawyers last year, while a pair of Big Law firms were paid nearly $58 million by the owner of the Snapchat app, according to a securities filing Thursday.

Zachary Briers, a former partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson who joined Snap in November as its new general counsel, received a pay package valued at about $24.2 million. Snap disclosed in a 10-K filing that his predecessor, Michael O’Sullivan, earned nearly $15.9 million before leaving in December.
