Apple Sheds Suit Over Child Sex Abuse Material on iCloud System

Apple Inc. convinced a federal judge to dismiss a proposed class action alleging the company defectively designed its iCloud data storage system, making it easier for users to store and share child sexual abuse material.

The US District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed the lawsuit Wednesday and said the complaint wasn’t different enough from another similar lawsuit the court tossed earlier this year.
