A former employee of Utah software company Lucid Software Inc. agreed to end a lawsuit claiming he was fired and retaliated against for expressing his opposition to “transgender ideology” on social media.
The case of Goud Maragani, an in-house attorney for Lucid, was dismissed with prejudice on Wednesday following a notice he filed the same day in the US District Court for the District of Utah. Maragani—who identifies as an “openly gay conservative Christian” and served as head of the Utah Log Cabin Republicans, a group for LGBT conservatives—sued Lucid in May following his termination from the organization.
