Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc.‘s $29.2 million settlement garnered a federal judge’s final blessing to resolve investor allegations that the company, acquired by Boeing Co. in December, concealed problems affecting parts for the 737 Max airplane.

Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York granted final approval of the deal for a settlement class of those who acquired Spirit stock from April 8, 2020, through Sept. 7, 2023. The investors’ counsel will get a quarter of the settlement sum, or almost $7.17 million, in attorneys fees and more than $146,000 in litigation ...
